The Carpenter and his Apprentice

Quite inspirational how quickly one learns Jack not yet four is eager to learn and is something of a sponge taking everything in that he he told. Concentration is the key and he is relentless in his questions. I have always been a firm believer in telling children the truth when they ask a question, I know my two girls ordered it and if you tried to fob them off after they asked for an explanation on something they would accept the truth far better than a white lie.

Jack also demands this, so as best we can we try to explain things truthfully. He loves to do work of any kind, he asked his Grandad if when he slept over if he could do some work in the shed with real tools, of course his Grandad agreed not thinking that he would remember but of course he did remember and although it was a bitter cold day out they went to the shed.

look at the concentration in his little face, on the top image he even has his tongue out, both his Grandad and his Mum does this when they concentrate ha ha!

Can you believe he never hit his or his Grandads fingers even once.

I asked him what he was making, he told me it was going to be a new wall for me.

They then decided to make a sword, Grandad cut out the pieces and Jack screwed them together.

So Captain Jack now has a sword, we even cut out some stickers to decorate it.

Comfy Sofa 3D Project–Creations by AR

I know we all like to be prepared for special events, Fathers day is in June and normally lands right on my Father in Laws Birthday so it is always a double whammy for me that month two cards two gifts for the same man. I like to get organised as soon as possible for it and this template just ticked all the boxes for him.

I had quite a bit of fun making this one and deciding colours and extra bits to add when finished.

The back of the chair and arm rest covers are an edged ribbon.

The cushion is also ribbon folded and padded inside with a piece of wadding.

Now I know you will all want to know where I got the miniature TV remote control and the miniature coffee mug from no?

Well I made them from polymer clay, it was a labour of love. I got a starter pack from Wholeport 

Then there is the miniature News Paper, it was a printable for a dolls house found at Jims Miniatures.

 

Now if all of that isn’t enough it even has a secret compartment for you to add a gift.

A pull out box from the front of the chair.

Add some treats inside the box and you are ready to go.

Cards from Create and Craft Show

I thought I should pop a couple of cards on here from last weeks Create and Craft show it was all great fun and lovely to get so many emails whilst on air.

New Release Creations by AR–Lollipot and Bow

Oh this is so exciting, this is the cutest project, so many possibilities I know it worked perfectly for Valentines day but it would also work for Easter if you filled it with chicks or mini eggs (chocolate variety), Birthdays, Christmas etc etc… I love working with Creations by AR 

I used red, white and black for my colour ways, (Think Minnie Mouse)

It is a fun inexpensive gift that is sure to please, who would have thought a lollipop colour be so fun to give.

Thanks Jak. You can also click on the image and then go to the menu at the top of your menu bar - PICTURE TOOLS and by clicking this it will show you exactly how big your image is - shown under SIZE (Often at the end of your menu bar depending how you have customised your Word set up).
Secondly you can also highlight your image by clicking it, and then click on PICTURE TOOLS find WRAP TEXT then click SQUARE in the drop down box and you can move your image anywhere on the page and it will stay there.

Create and Craft date and times

One of the nicest things about going to create and craft is working with some like minded wonderful people and receiving email from those watching from home.

So bright and early on Friday morning 05:30 to be precise I'll be heading to the train station to get to the studios at Create and Craft.

First show is Friday 10am with Leoni then Back on at 4pm with Stephanie so if you could join us that would be wonderful and what's more you could grab yourself a real bargain from La Pashe.

 

Ribbon Carousel Challenge - Love is in the Air

Make a card, a treat box, a scrapbook page, or anything at all to celebrate Love and be sure to include some ribbon or twine!

We would love you to join in our challenge this month and you could win your very own Ribbon Carousel.

I’ve used Love you Lara from Digital Delights for my card, some Grosgrain looped ribbon and a stitched satin ribbon tied into bows through the buttons.

Coloured with FlexMarkers and some love themed design paper punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch and the rest matted onto red card stock.
