Proms in the Park

What a wonderful wonderful time we have had, it’s fabulous to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some time with good company, good food and good entertainment and that is just what we did this weekend.

We booked up for Castle Howards Proms in the Park, we have been before and it must be around 10 years ago and it is as good now as what is was on our first experience.

This was our bed for the night

And this was just after we got settled for the evening.

Here is a little taster in a video, actually it is in two parts, the first is everyone arriving and the second is a sample of the entertainment.

Isn’t he a sweetie? Coloured with Flex Markers and Promarkers, backing papers are by Hot off the Press (HOTP) some pearls and a pretty saitin ribbon.

If you haven’t yet tried the Flex markers by letraset you are missing out they are fabulous to work with and blend like a dream.

Everyone say awe! I remember my Mam knitting me a cardigan this colour, in fact I remember her knitting me twin sets, little cardigan and matching skirt.

I used designer background papers and matching polka dot ribbon from Papertrey Ink, coloured the image with Copic Sketch Marker I used an edge paper punch by EK Success and finished the card with some matching buttons.

Tomorrow is Proms in the park for me so can you all please do a sunshine dance tonight and pray that the rain holds off for me. I have bought some new wellingtons just in case.

Blog Candy–Promarker Tutorial

Dare! Male Card

Well I asked for more and Mo obliged, this one is fabulous it was just the job to take my mind off all of the riots that is happening in London and other City’s here in the UK god bless anyone caught up in them.

Coloured with Copic markers and teamed with Craft Creations and DCWV scrapbook papers

Some distressing on the papers with the Tonic Studios Tim Holtz distress tool and some buttons from Fantastic ribbons to finish.

Heartless!

Well I couldn’t leave this one out, Ooh I hope Mo does more of these because it would just solve all of those teenager cards

Chocolate and Pink Bubble-gum colour scheme for this one, coloured using Copic markers matted and layered with hot pink and chocolate checked card a bit of satin ribbon and a couple of paper punch hearts.

Bite!

I have to say that I’m quite excited about these new images by Mo Manning I love them. I’m hoping to see a lot more of them. do you hear Mo?

She is coloured with Copic Markers and then the edges was done with a Spellbinders die, a fancy sheer ribbon was added then a bit of matting and layering to finish.

Big Shoes

Oooo I remember my two girls doing this, I often used to catch them trying to walk in my high shoes, these days it’s them wearing the high shoes not me.

Coloured with Copic Sketch Markers, I used the Nestabilities Labels 4 Die to cut out the image and a couple of Martha Stewart punches for the melon coloured card underneath the image, ribbon and patterned paper from Papertrey Ink and I used the ScorPal to add a few lines to the card.
