Adorable Scorable with Alcohol Inks
After using the Brusho Art Paints, I suddenly realised that I could get a stunning vibrant effect using the Hunkydory Adorable Scorable and Alcohol Inks. well I wasn’t wrong, I decided to use colours that I would normally shy away from and used yellows and orange and I’m thrilled with the effect.
After such a stressful few weeks it was good to get in the craft room and experiment, I truly champion Adorable Scorable by Hunkydory, if you haven’t yet tried it then you are missing out, quality smooth coated 350gsm card stock with flexible ink that is amazing.
I used cotton white Adorable Scorable to stamp and ink onto and cut some small slithers from the mellow sage colour to make spiral foliage.
I’m back at Create and Craft from Monday with a fabulous deal of new Hunkydory sets at 9am and 6pm Sky Chanel 674.

Brusho Art Flowers
Time to take it a little step further and introduce some stamps into the equation.
Choosing the colours was the first job, flowers - crimson, scarlet, vermillion, gamboge. Leaves – leaf green and lemon.
I used a stamp set from Papertrey Ink to stamp out the flowers, leaves and the swirls on the background in stampendous Frantage Shabby white embossing enamel.
This time I wet the porous card and sprinkled the powder in the places that I wanted the colour, i felt that I had more control of where it was going.
I cut out the leaves and flowers and laid them how I wanted them then added them with pinflair glue gel to give dimension.

Brusho Art
I took the plunge and opened my pots of Brusho paint which had been sitting on a shelf for around 5 years, mostly because I never had the time to explore them.
I took a pokey tool and made a hole in the top of each pot and then started to play, I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do with my pieces of background art but here it is, my first Brusho art.
I have to be honest, it felt good to get my hands dirty and my fingers are now stained with blue, turquoise and black paint but I’m sure it won’t take long to get them cleaned up.
I used the La La Land tree die on one piece of the background and die cut a couple of trees layering them up on another background and then used some snowtex paste to add some texture, finished with lots of distressing and matting and layering and a couple of gems on the trees.
I think the packaging may have changed since I purchased mine but you get the information on it.

Show Cards
A couple of cards from the Launch shows for Hunkydory, Festive Windows of the Heart I think is the most beautiful set, I love good poetry cards and seemly so does the recipients, when I receive a card it is the first thing I look at.
The imagery on this set is also very beautiful some contemporary some traditional and some classic.
The above card started off as a concept card but I cut it up to make this one a little different.
The above card was made from one of the topper sheets and one of the background sheets.
