Wild Thing–I think I love you so….

I had a little play with the Silhouette Sketch Pens today and wanted to show you the results, this was my first play with them so I created the card from start to finish with the Silhouette Portrait.

I looked in the Silhouette Shop for a sketch image and found and thought that this one was pretty cool.

I love the shades, once my image was selected I sized it to what I wanted  and then though I needed some sort of sentiment and as I couldn’t get this song out of my head I used it to my advantage for the wording on the card, I found a font that worked well with the image and added it to the image sheet to sketched with it.

I used the offset function on the silhouette software to cut out around both the image and the wording and then used it once more on the wording to cut around it with black card.

The pens worked effortlessly to draw the image, I was very impressed, I took a video of it at work so that you could see it in action.

The image that I used had been specifically designed for use with the silhouette cutter, please make sure that any image you are planning to use in this way that the creator is alright for you to do this.

Silhouette Sketch Pens

My boss bought me a full set of the Silhouette Sketch Pens, I'm thinking digi stamps and being able to print them in any colour, I may even get our artist at Just Inklined to make some digi stamps especially for these multi layered allowing me to change colours between layers, the beauty of this will be that once sketched out I'll be able to cut out the stamp too. I'm quite looking forward to playing with these babies.

 

 

Stink Eye

Finally got this little guy made up into a card.

Our Jack (Grandson) pull faces just like this and for the record…. we find it adorable.

Colour with Copic Markers and chalk pencils and teamed with E.P.Scoot designer paper and a few buttons and twine.

It seams like a long break away I think my last show was October so I’m back and raring to go.
