Riding the Waves

Well seeming at though we have had a massive downpour all day I needed something to cheer me up, I even stooped so low to put on the heating, well that was until Chris informed me that I was melting his skin with the heat.

Grandson Jack has just had another holiday and Granda Chris gave him some pennies to buy an inflatable for the pool.

I could seriously kiss his face off. This is him was his Mam Lauren (daughter)

Bedtime story or not?

When my two were little we always made a big thing of a bedtime story, they used to get quite excited about it. My Mam when babysitting would spend hours reading a bedtime story and sometimes stories to the girls and we were never quite sure who out of the three of them enjoyed it most, I expect it was my Mam.

However my husband Chris did scar the girls for life when a kind Auntie bought them the Teddy Bears Picnic, it was a book that the song was made into the story with matching pictures to the song verse, he soon realised that he could sing it to them quicker than reading the story so whenever he had to put them to bed that was the book he reached for, whether they liked it or not. They still t this day cringe if they hear the song.

This Just One Story by Mo’s Digital Pencil evoked all my memories.

Isn’t she a sweetie?

My Nanna told me the most amazing stories, all made up but the way she told them had you imagining that you were there right in the middle of it all, I think she should have wrote a book and I reckon it would have been on the best sellers shelf.

Ever So Funny

Some things in life just tickle you don’t they? I love the way my eldest daughter can make me laugh so much, we laugh so much together that at times I feel that I can’t breath.

What tickles you?

The ribbon is Silk Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and the pearl is from Mei Flower 

Coloured with Copic markers and prisma pencils and the frame is made up with the Memory Box Border Die Catalina Border. The edges have been blended with a brilliance ink pad and a Tim Holtz Blending tool.
