Oh what a treat, as you know I love Ribbon, and I am in a ribbon club with Ribbon Carousel, each month I get a fabulous ribbon package from them, Maya Road Ribbons are beautiful and quality, I do love a bit of quality. This little girl is geared up for a fun night, as I recall it’s not too fun for the Mum hosting as they are all awake best part of the night.

Slumber Party Dena by Mo’s Digital Pencil would be the ideal card for a birthday girl.

Coloured with Promarker and teamed with designer backing paper (I think papermania) chipboard flower lace ribbon from Creativity Direct , lace pearls and a butterfly punch.

Pause for Thought

On our return home from the city we were driving along the sea front, we often see loads of people out walking many with dogs taking them for a stroll, joggers, power walkers, courting couples and generally people out for a bit of fresh air.

It gets less in the colder months as the North sea can blow a mighty chill through your bones.

Today I noticed a Mother walking with a teenage girl whom I took to be her daughter, the girl looked at me, a very pretty girl in fact beautiful, this girl had no expression not a smile nor a frown totally no expression, I could tell by the care she was getting from the lady who was with her that she wasn’t your average teenager, possibly Autism or learning difficulties.

This got me thinking, I love to hear and see my daughters laughing often winding each other up, chasing each other around the house, crying if the other is hurt, elated if they have joyous news. How often do we take that for granted, here was a beautiful girl with little or no expressive emotions, I really don’t know how I would feel as a Mother not seeing that from my girls.

Remember to count your blessings.

Ragged Santa

I wanted to make a none Traditional Santa for my card and as soon as I saw Ragged Santa from Mo’s Digital Pencil I knew he would fit the bill.

I used a couple of my own backgrounds and one from Graphics45 a Cheery Lynn doily die and a whispers snowflake die, some Thickers scrapbook letters this one is Glass Slipper, Promarkers and Prisma pencils to colour the image and ribbon and pearls to finish

I added flowersoft to Ragged Santa’s fur trim
