Three Trees by Just Inklined I love nature cards, so easy for so many occasions.
Coloured with Promarker and Flexarkers by Letraset sentiment is from Stampin Up set and the Embossed leaves are a sizzix embossing folder from the Fall set, the shiny leaf was stamped out of copper sheet and then heat applied to make it turn pretty colours, the time piece was from my stash.
Sometimes it is nice t break away from the normal, so no backing papers and no ribbon bows for this one as I wanted to keep it clean and classy.
Roses in Bloom is a clear stamp set by Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Claire the owner is such a sweetheart that once you start with her little company you’ll be there for keeps, Claire also has an amazing design team and between them they create some jaw dropping projects.
I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder stylised flowers for the backing white card and a pretty row of ribbon roses with beads added to their centers, and a dainty dot on each corner, the image is stamped with Momento Ink then coloured with copic markers and I used a Go Kreate die to cut out the image.
Well my card today started with having my lunch hour in my car yesterday, I went to have a quiet moment and turned on the radio and listened to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2, he has a chat show and yesterdays theme was favourite Hymns, I’m not overly religious but I do prayer from time to time and I like to think there is someone out there for us all.
I have to say I found myself singing along and then I heard Onward Christian Soldiers, this Hymn has such memories for me as my Dad would sing it at the top of his voice mainly on a Sunday Morning because my Mam would listen to Mantovani Orchestra on her record player whilst baking and making the Sunday Roast.
So you could say that I was inspired by the radio.
I simply love this sentiment, it is perfect for letting a friend or family know you care and this one is headed for a very dear friend of mine.
I distressed the background card in a sage coloured ink the used the same ink to stamp some sprigs on top. I used a Marianne Frame die for the sage frame then stamped the sentiment in a moss green ink and used a Spellbinders Nestabilities label die to cut it out.
I finished with a couple of pearls and a green satin ribbon making a double bow from my Double Ribbon Bow Tutorial
The rubber stamp I used is called Stampendous M107 Prayer I have had mine quite some while so hopefully you can still get it.
I love making round easel cards but the scalloped ones are a devil to cover and do the photography on, I got in from work and quickly got dinner over with so that I could get cracking on this one.
Little Elf Finn from Mo’s Digital Pencil
You may notice the bow on the top of the card, this is a triple bow, made in the same way as my double bow tutorial but wrapped and extra time around the fingers.
The image is coloured with Copic markers and the snowflake is a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder I cut one in gold card and the other in acetate then used Glass glitter glue on the acetate one.
I also did the sin of all sins and used some peel off borders and snowflake accents around the bottom layer of the card.
