A Card and some News.

First up is some news….

After doing my demo on Promarkers last weekend I was asked if I would consider doing some private tuition, I thought long and hard on what techniques would be needed and I have planned a class for Saturday 20th August.

It will run from 10am until 3pm lunch and refreshments will be provided.

We will not be making a card, I want to fit as much technique in as possible.

The class will focus on blending skills, colouring skin, colouring hair, shading and shadows and background work.

6 Promarkers and a technique DVD will be included in the cost of the lesson. I was going to do some information sheets but I think sometimes visual is much better to learn from and the DVD will enable people to watch at their leisure and practice.

It will be held at Image-e-nation in Washington Tyne and Wear.

I do have a few places left on the class so if you want to brush up on your colouring skills.

Contact me at jakheath@gmail.com for more information.

Secondly my card, not sure if I like this one now but as my Mam loves it I thought I'd show it anyway. Another digital image stamp called Melissa from Funky Kits, coloured with Promarkers and used my airbrush to add a splash of colour to the background. A pretty ribbon and a chipboard flower to finish.

Summer Days–Sybil

Another digital image stamp from Funky Kits i love the sketchiness of these drawings.

Coloured with Copic Sketch markers and I used design papers from Bo Bunny and used the Stampin Up birdie and branch punch and used ribbon to create her on a swing. Check out the flower embellishment I love these chip board flowers I got them from work and I’m sure if you inundate them with emails they will get them on the online shop at Imag-e-nation you get 5 in a pack for £1.50 and they could easily be seperated to create more.

Beautiful Flora and Embellishments

After using a digital stamp for my card making yesterday from Funky Kits I couldn’t resist getting this little beauty too. Her name is Flora.

I also found the most delightful Etsy store full of fabulous embellishments and everything just kept dropping in my basket and when you receive your order it is all so pretty, the lace was wrapped around dolly pegs with a little pearl topped pin to secure the lace in place ooh and the pearl embellished large pins are just a delight. All of the embellishments on my card, lace, pins, pearls, buttons and flowers are from this cute as a button store and tomorrow Thursday I will have more to share with you about it and even a giveaway for some lucky person.

I used the Tonic Studios border system for the large scallop and coloured the image with Copic markers, the designer paper is from Papertrey Ink and the ribbon is a satin ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons.

Baby Jack Second Birthday Card

Oh my lord our little darling will soon be two years old, hard to believe. He is quite the chappy these days, he is a real wind up merchant just like his Mum, he has just the right gaze to melt our hearts and his Granda just worships him.

As soon as I saw the Nathan image from Funky Kits I new I had to make it for Jack. I have kept it CAS (clean and simple) using pastel blue with white and using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and Spellbinders Nestabilities Label dies to frame the image.

I'm also entering this into The Corrosive Challenge for ribbons and bows
