The Present

I received a gift that I can pass on to my family, I'm sure that I might bore some of you but I have to say that I am totally made up about this gift.
We already have one within the family and it is well over 100 years old but it is in the possession of my Aunt who has a family of her own to pass it on to so the likely hood of me getting to own it is slim and I would love to have it, so having one of my own has made me elated.

This is the kind of big Family Bible “they don’t make anymore,”
traditional King James text features clear, readable type and generous margins
Illustrated with 116 Rembrandt masterpieces!

leather-bound

22ct gold-accented heirloom edition

An illuminated section allows you to record your family's history.

This is just one of the illustrated 44 colour paintings and 72 monochrome drawings and etchings by Rembrandt van Rijn

Butterfly Flourish

I decided to reverse the colour scheme and give another go with the Black and grey, this time using the flourish stamp from Papertrey ink and the butterfly stamp and punch from Stampin Up, a couple of wired pearls on the butterfly and a few extra punched flower and a bit of black stickles to finish.

Don't you just find inspiration in the strangest of places?
Well mine today came from an Asda clothes label, it was in Black and Grey and I liked the muted shades, thinking the grey was far less harsh that using white.
The stamps used are Aspire by Penny Black and a foilage stamp from Impression Obsession.

Attention to Detail...

I used the ScorPal and the Scor-Bug Embosser to make the pierced holes around the edges of the card,

The blossom was coloured with a grey Promarker to match the card.

Boxing Day Tradition

It has long been a tradition in our Family to invade my Mother and Father in Laws house for tea on Boxing Day, play with the children, give out presents of those we don't see Christmas Day, good food and banta.
This year was no different as far as the invasion goes and at one point there was 16 of us chatting, laughing, eating and playing with the childrens toys.
Below is a photo of Nellie and John with the Great Grand Children.
