Vintage Lady Stamped Card

A Stamped Vintage Lady card, the card base is a pre printed A4 card folded in half, I still love Vintage cards and often drift back to this style when I need some inspiration, I love working with inks and getting my hands dirty, so, Tuesday I will be going to work sporting green inky fingers.

The lady is a rubber stamp by Stampsmith she is one of Shakespeare Heroins, I used green distress ink by Ranger to stamp the image then tore around the edges and used the same ink to distress by ponging the ink on the edges of the image.

It was this stamp that inspired the card as I think she is just so beautiful.

I punched out some flower shapes in cream and green card then used wet glue on the petals and dipped them into crushed glass glitter, I have 2lbs in weight of this glitter to use up ha ha ha.

This is a rubber stamp flower stamped onto acetate then cut out, I then wrapped the threaded beads onto a large gold brad and then poked the brad through the acetate and secured the beaded flower onto the card with a glue dot.

Glimmer Mists Card

This is the second Glimmer Mists background that I made, the glimmer mists by Tattered Angels is colour inks and mica powders in a spray bottle you build up the colours by spraying your paper and letting the inks slightly overlap, you can see the glimmer on the background in this picture.
I stamped the Ellusive Images Koi Carp onto stampbord and coloured the stampbord with matching inks added a bit of glitter and used Sakura pens to colour the Koi Carp.

Cuttlebug Bird Call & Glimmer Mists card

The background on the stamped watercolour paper was made with Glimmer Mists I love the way the colours have formed I started with the lights colour in this case it was gold, then misted over a blue and a black cherry colour then let it dry naturally.
Once dry I used the Penny Black aspire stamp and the bird and wording from PTI set Birds of a feather and created a picture.
I used the Cuttlebug folder Bird Call and embossed a piece of card then sponged over this with a wine coloured ink.
I used the Spellbinders Tag Trio to cut out the wording and tied this to the card with a burgandy wine coloured ribbon.

I thought it was worth adding a close up of the glimmer mist background that I made the nice thing about glimmer mist is every time you spray you know you will end up with something different I just wish I could show the twinkle it has. As soon as I layered the glimmer mist colours on this paper I saw a morning sky.

Flippin Men by La Pashe

Flippin' Bookies is one of the decoupage sheets that is close to my heart, it was designed shortly before I lost my Dad he was renowned to have a little flutter on the horses an the bookies odds board you can see the first runner is Jacks Lad.
I had bets on that I could get 2 cards from this sheet.

This is the reverse image of Flippin' Bookies I made this one up on a DL card I used the title on the Decoupage sheet as embellishment words.

Flippin' Snooker, this decoupage was added to a gate fold card, and the sentiment was added to the opposite side of the gate fold. Just a few peel off corners and borders to embellish.

I added the flip side of the image to the inside of the card, you can see from the shot I added a side spine to the card as I don't want the decoupage to be crushed.

If you are stuck for a verse to add to your Flippin' Men cards it could be well worth your while popping over to Jon's blog as he has made up some verses for you to use.

Flippin' Men Stamped Card

I'm thrilled that I have managed to create a stamp with the Flippin' Men! Flippin'Peace image.
I have been given exclusive rights to make 20 of these sets & should have them up and running by 15th January.
This is done on an A5 card I stamped the image and coloured it with Copic Markers, I actually think the image looks fabulous left black without any colour as done in the insert shown under the card.

I made an insert and stamped the back image instead of a verse along side some of the stamp wording, much easier to add a stamped image rather than a verse for men's cards.
