New Year New Baby

So that is the end of 2010 and I thought I would say goodbye to the Year with a New baby Girl Card, something to make you all smile. I can't say that I'm sad to see the back of this year having had my fair share of health issues many of them still ongoing but I'm looking ahead into 2011 hoping to resolve some of them with new meds.

I have however met some wonderful new friends here and had the support of ongoing friends here too so the year wasn't all bad.

I'm still saying prayers for my wonderful friend Katie and I'll be doing some fundraising to help her in 2011 to which I hope you will lend your support.

So onto my Baby girl/ Christening Card

Baby Girl is by the talented Mo Manning and can be purchased here

Coloured with Copic Markers, the cross was made with a Martha stewart border punch I punched both sides of 2 strips of paper then used the airbrush to add a lemon tint to the edges of the cross I also cut slits in the cross to thread in the lemon ribbon and added a lemon rose to the center.

Copic Airbrush Tutorial

I thought it would be fun to show you a little tutorial with the Copic Airbrush you can get pretty much the same effect through sponging as the scene I have created but to be honest this takes a lot less effort and it is a great way of experimenting with it.

I will show another tutorial later of how to mask an image and add some shading around it to make your image pop but this one is more to talk you around the airbrush and to show you how easy it is to use.

Part 2

Teacup Fairy

Teacup Fairy is buy Mo Manning and can be purchased here, coloured with copic markers and teamed with a backing paper that I've had in my stash what seams like forever, I think it may be a K & Co paper, a prima flower and there is some embossing work done on the Nestabilities Label die cut but it just isn't showing in the photo for some reason.

Just the cutest teacup I've ever seen, dotted with a couple of pearls to set it off.

Chris Heath Choo Choo Makings

THIS IS CHRIS HEATH TAKING OVER JAK'S BLOG FOR THE DAY

Here it is then (after a lot of ribbing from Jak) my nearly finnished Country Fire Station for my model train set I have in the loft.

As you can see it is a very busy drill session, or it will be once I get all the figures glued into position.

The scale of the scene (if anyone is interested) is 1/76th, and stands a grand 6 1/2'' high.

Oh by the way, I will not be starting my own blog!!

The paving stone surround is formed from individual paving stones, not appreciated by jak when I had to use her eyebrow tweezers to lay them in place. Where the wall meets the paving I added grass as if it was growing in the damp of the wall. A couple of bushes were added to the entrance of the station and a red telephone box on the outside of the wall.

All of the perimiter walls were made seperate out of a sheet of acrylic, then wrapped in brickwork that I downloaded onto a A4 label sheet and stuck it to the acrylic.

The fireman is adjusting the wheeled escape (big ladder) from the AEC Regent Mark3 engine.

You can see the grass around the base of the wall I built.

Phase 2

Now to show you all my crafting space, it is now a HIS & HERS zone, this was took while I was in the process of making a Railway Siding Shed.

I found a nifty little site called ScaleScenes it has some free downloads so that you can make your own models.

Work in progress, I have all the tools, glue, cocktail stick, knife, steel ruler, cutting mat, I just know you will be green with envy at my craft tools.

For a man with hands like shovels and fingers the size of pork sausages I don't think I did too badly, what do you think?

Husbands take over bid.

I have a sneeky feeling my husband is trying to take over in the craft department, not only did I catch him using my airbrush on his model Fire Station for his train sets but he has suggested that I should put his handy work on my blog to show you eeek!

Now, would you like to see what he has been up to? I have a feeling he is trying to take over, he has even started to call my airbrush OUR airbrush "cough splutter"

Sassy Cheryls challenge 43 "Teddy Bears"

a card for Sassy Cheryls challenge 43 "Teddy Bears" I used There's a Bee on your Nose digi stamp, coloured with Copic Markers and prisma pencils.

Attention to detail...

The background to the image was done with the copic airbrush a sunny sky scene.

A Stampin Up butterfly with added pearls gives the corner a finishing touch.

Merry Christmas

Well it has been a wonderful day with the family, I said a few prayers for my dear dear friend Katie who is back in hospital needing more blood and poor love is on liquid food, please keep saying your prayers for her she is a poorly lady so we need lots of positive thinking for her.

Granson Jack was here with his Mam & Dad and also my Mam for their Christmas dinner.

Jack is such a character now such a fun loving little chap. you'll see what I mean from the below photo's he is always laughing.

Just wanted to pop by and say a big thanks to you for being here this past year and to wish you all Merry Christmas.

It comes as one image but I flipped the image and merged it to make a twins card.

As soon as I saw Baby Steps I knew that I had to have it, it will make the most adorable baby cards for either boys or girls
