I wanted to show you close ups of the individual characters as they can all be purchased separately and I think they make perfect Teacher cards.

Dream Team Project of the Month - Distressing

Mo's Dream Team Project of the Month

Its that time again and this Month's theme for the Blog Hop is Distress (paper, ink etc) and was chosen by myself and I and the very start of the blog hop.

We will hold this every third Thursday of the month , we aim to give you a little inspiration and hopefully a few Oooo's and Awe's along the way.

The Dream Team is made up with some of the most talented ladies so be sure to give them all a visit.

This Month my image is Christmas Fairy Mint, I have used a combination of distress techniques both paper distressing and ink distressing, the image was coloured with Copic Markers, glitter added to the fairy wings and glossy accents to the mint sticks although it doesn't show in the photo it really gives dimension to the image.
To purchase Christmas Fairy Mint click here

Next up on the blog hop is the uber talented Peri who will as always have something breath taking to show you.

Once you have done the Blog Hop why not give the Dream Team blog a visit there are many more wonderful creations on there just for you inspiration.

Christmas Dog - Bismarck

"huh, huh, huh, huh, huh is this one mine"? can you hear him saying this? Although how he will get this bone through the door I'll never know ha ha.
Bismarck is a digi image by Mo Manning and can be purchased here.
Coloured with Copic markers and teamed with Stampin Up design papers.

Attention to detail...

I added some white flock powder to Bismarcks hat to give it that fluffy look. I also added white gel pen to his fur for highlights.

My Funding has come through for my Psoriasis treatment. (Etanercept (enbrel)a biological drug)

I know it has took what seems like forever to be passed due to a big mistake with my request form going to the wrong County.

Meet the Boys - Help the Heros

Bad back or not the show must go on.
It was ladies night at Chris's lodge and he had been asked if he would supply the entertainment, it has been 5 years since we put on a show and we had said that we were retiring from them. Old habits die hard so we still had most of the costumes tucked away in our loft.
We new that as no one was getting any younger we needed more time between acts and of course our Daughter Natalie sang in between and actually she stole the show "talented devil that she is"
It was touch and go whether I would get to it to add the lads make up but my sister in law was at hand and I was thrilled she was there. I have to say that I am suffering today but I'm pleased I made it.
I've added some of the photo's of some of the acts (click on them for a closer look) but there are many more.

The show raised £400 for our Troops "Help the Heros" so I'm sure you will agree it was a very worthy cause.

Whispering Grass and Paddy's Sicknote.

Goodness Gracious Me and Marilyn

Kiss me Honey Honey and Andy Pandy and Loopy Lou

Liza Minelli "Caberet" and our Club Landlord serving the girls oops boys!

Hey Big Spender and our Compare for the evening.

A Card - Shi Tzu - Just Inklined

Firstly I wanted to thank you all for the support you have shown me and the wonderful messages and comments from you all, it is lovely to turn on the computer and find a mass of kindness from lovely people.
I'm not out of the woods but my back is getting stronger but I had to make a card as I was going insane ha ha.

I decided on the Shi Tzu image from Just Inklined as my brothers birthday is coming up and as he has one of these cuties I thought it would make the perfect card for him.

The Shi Tzu image is by Just Inklined and only needs minimal colour adding, I used Promarkers Cinnamon and Tan. Teamed the image with paw print paper and matching ribbon and buttons.

Back Update

Well I think it's a little better, either that or I'm getting accustomed to the pain.

I paid the doctors a visit today and they want me to have a steroid injection in my back as they believe it is a flare up of the psoriatic arthritis.

The other thing that came to light is that I have seemingly missed 15 years worth of HRT after having a full hysterectomy so I have to have a bone density scan and start some HRT so I have to go back again next week after they have dug out all of my notes.

So, I have to keep topped up on my Tramadol, Anti inflammatory and paracetamol oh yes and an anti acid (new one) because of the anti inflammatory tablet.

Good stuff eh!

Unhappy Santa - Sassy Cheryls

When the very talented Cheryl Alger (artist of Sassy Cheryls) asked me to do a little project for her I jumped at the chance, I simply love her work, if you havent yet found her get on over there as you are missing out click here to be taken to her store.
I used the Unhappy Santa with gift and coloured it with Copic Markers, I used a deep Purple card and created the scene with white ink and sponging over torn paper then punched out a circle from scrap paper and sponged through the hole to make the moon, I dabbed the Ink Essentials white pen randomly across the sponged scene for snow and added a star with the came pen.
I added lots of crushed glass glitter for the snow topped roof and added the image seperatly with foam pads to make it a 3d effect.

Free Sheets for your Card Making

As some of you will know I have had back problems for a few months now and on Friday it all came to a head and my back took a turn for the worst, so I'm resting it and that means a break from making cards for a while, I was watching Jack and as you do with babies I was carrying him quite a lot and now I am paying the price.
I am finding it impossible to lean over my craft desk or find a comfortable position to sit or even stand so I'm hoping that it will heal at a mega speed so I can get back to some normality.
