I’m fit to burst because last night was simply an amazing night.
Chris received his Long Service medal from the Lord Lieutenant of Durham for 20 years of Exemplary service in the Fire Brigade (Service)
It was such a proud moment for all of us to see him being recognised for this and the evening was perfect.
It started with medal being pinned by the Lord Lieutenant (which unusually is a lady) and then the certificate and unexpectedly I was also presented with flowers for supporting him in his service.
There was an official photographer there and as soon as I get the pictures I will let you see them, we also had a caricature done which is so funny and again I will let you see that too as soon as I can get it scanned in.
This is a picture of us both before setting off to the Town Hall at Durham.

ReplyDeleteWAUW what an amazing expirience, it must have been, and a biiiiig CONGRATULATION to Chris for the awesome achievemnet and to you for supporting him all these years, so only fair, you got the flowers, cause without their backup from home, they´re only half the value, I´m sure. You both look amazing on that picture, and we can really see the pride in both your eyes here. Such a proud moment, it must have been.
