I told you earlier about the photo’s that I restored this is the one that was badly damaged in the bombing, I had to build up the right side of his face again, I’m so happy that I did this as this is my Grand Father in his teen years and is the only photograph we have of him in the teens.

ReplyDeleteMy Mum destroyed a lot of photos, including many of me and my brother in our teen years and of my Dad in the army during the war. There's none at all of my Mum & Dad as children and only one token one of my grandparents on both sides. Mum lived for the present only (the past was over and done and no longer mattered in her mind) and decided that everyone else had to as well but - there were hundreds of pics of my sons so I've now got them duplicated as most of them came from me in the first place.
