Sneaker Card

Something totally different for me, minimalistic, Clean and Simple.

At this time of year I always panic over what to do for my Daughters Birthday card, each year I struggle, buying one is impossible as they are all far to girlie, i need a card that would do for either boy of girl, nothing flowery, no shoes, flowers, handbags or cutie.

This year I had something in mind but new I was going to have to design it myself. I needed a cutting file for the silhouette. So I sat down at the computer and started to design my own.

The sneakers/ Plimsolls are in three layers, the sole the main front with tongue and the side fastening laced up with twine.

It wasn’t easy to make but I love it now that it is completed.

If you like it, leave me a comment and I might be persuaded to give the template both as a silhouette cutting file and a hand cutting file.

    Love the card, it's so refreshing to see an alternative to shoes. My brain is already spinning with sneaker sentiments. I have just purchased aSilhouette and would love to have a go at making a sneaker card.

    Fantastic Jak. I have a craft robo and use the free silhoutte studio but have only been able to manage to create basic shapes. Would actually love a tutorial on how you designed it :-)

    The words "These shoes are made for walking" comes to mind on seeing your card. It is absolutely AMAZING. I am sure they could "walk" all the way to this side of the world.

    I have a silhouette and would love to try cutting some of these. I have several friends who are athletic and these would make a fun card for them. I'm sure. Your daughter will enjoy this card.
