The Sweetest Thing

This is a feel good image, I remember my own Mam baking bread for the week every Sunday, we had dough proving all over the house in every warm spot you could find, we knew when it was time to take the stottie cake bread out of the oven as it used to sting my sinus’s when it was ready but I was still there first for a taster of the warm just cooked batch laden with the finest butter and a spoon of golden syrup. Are you drooling yet?

This little girl is memory laden.

Did you see the ribbon, it’s a touch a luxury it is 1" Reversible Satin Ribbon with Stitched Edge  from Ribbon Carousel just look at the sheen, I also used the Lavender Enamel Dots by My Minds Eye

Good news, I got my appointment through for my MRI scan, it’s this coming Monday so not such a long wait now.

  1. what a cute card.
Yes, I remember my mom used to bake bread every week. Very seldom did we have a loaf of store bought.
I kinda followed in her footsteps only I don't make bread every week; just every now and then.
Nothing smells better then bread baking in the oven

  3. Jak, Your card is beautiful! My grandmother made some wonderful homemade biscuits that this reminds me of so I had to get this image. I could just taste them when I saw it so I know what you are talking about. Good luck with your appointment!! Keeping you in my prayers.

  5. That golden crust makes my nose HAPPY! I can TOTALLY smell the bread from growing up. How funny that I just pulled that same ribbon for another card and then decided against it. This is a GORGEOUS card and I LOVE the layout and that MME is my FAVE!!!!!

Stop! Stop! I am trying to cut out bread for a while and you are weakening my resolve, there is nothing better than a loaf fresh out of the oven. The card is beautiful as usual.
