What a Whopper

I simply love this, have you ever seen such a big one before?

I’ve seen ones half this size but this one is humongous. It is a Haggis of course, I friend of my husbands was in Bonny Scotland visiting his Mother and brought it back for us.

I like to slice it up, freeze it in portions and have if fried yum yum yum!

    Well Jak...no, I haven't seen one that size before...I didn't know you could freeze the slices, a really good idea.

    Hi, I live in Scotland and I've never seen a haggis that size, let alone bought one. I like my haggis steamed or microwaved but some folks love it fried for breakfast. Enjoy! Elizabeth

    Even though i am Scottish, i don't like Haggis, never ever seen one like that Jak!! It surely is a whopper.

    zap in microwave for a couple of minutes and mash up with fork...yummy! or deep fried in batter!

    mmmmmmmm Haggis supper from chip shop - Fried Haggis,chips,salt n sauce mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    My mum's mum was scottish so we use to visit Scotland when we were younger. Always remember the haggis suppers. Down here (london) no one sells it and the only fix we have now is from the supermarket with tatties and neeps. Still yummy though

    Jak, have you tried Balmoral Chicken? Make a pocket in a chicken breast and stuff with haggis. Wrap in bacon rasher and bake for 40 mins @ 190c. Deglaze pan with a little whiskey and a double cream. Mmmm delicious.

    Never heard of it before. I guess its one of those things that tastes better than it looks? Sounds somewhat similar to sausage?
