It is with deep regret that that a have to tell you that my beautiful friend Katie Renz passed away yesterday morning, Katie has left behind a very devoted Husband Kevin and 3 wonderful sons Hunter, Will and Nate.
Katie was such a beautiful lady and so very loved by all that knew her.
I know that many of you gave so generously to the fundraising and went on to follow Katie's battle with gastric cancer, Thank you dear friends.
When Katie first told me of her illness I sent her a guardian angel necklace to watch over her and she sent me this photo of her.
I wanted to do scrapbook page to keep in her memory…. love you Katie.

I learned about Katie and her trial on your blog months ago. I checked often to see how she was doing and her strength and optimism was inspiring. My husband had cancer diagnosed last Christmas. If it comes back, I hope I find the strength her husband showed. Though it was too late to know her myself, I will remember her always.

ReplyDeleteYes it is soo sad. I already hear this yesterday and I definately keep both her and her family in my thoughts and prayers throug these ahrd times. She was an amazing girl and so talented. I´ve learned so much from her and all her wonderful tutorials over the last years, and she will definately be missed everywhere, that´s for sure. She was a remarable woman in her life, and will still be remembered that way of sooo many.

This is a beautful page and a tribute to beautiful young woman, mother and wife. I so admired her courage and the way she shared so much of how she fought this dreadful disease...blow by blow. May Katie rest in peace and her family find the strength to go forward.

Katie is now thankfully free from her pain but that is no consolation. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and those beautiful young boys who are going to miss her so much. Of course I am sad for you too Jak. I know what it is like to lose a a very dear friend from this awful illness at a very young age. Remember the good times - there will be things to make you smile again!
