Well I think it's a little better, either that or I'm getting accustomed to the pain.
I paid the doctors a visit today and they want me to have a steroid injection in my back as they believe it is a flare up of the psoriatic arthritis.
The other thing that came to light is that I have seemingly missed 15 years worth of HRT after having a full hysterectomy so I have to have a bone density scan and start some HRT so I have to go back again next week after they have dug out all of my notes.
So, I have to keep topped up on my Tramadol, Anti inflammatory and paracetamol oh yes and an anti acid (new one) because of the anti inflammatory tablet.
Good stuff eh!
oh Jak i hope your not in too much pain huni and i hope all goes well for you.Take it easy and wrap up with sone hot choccie and a big duvet xx

ReplyDeleteGood news and bad news then!! hopefully the HRT will make you feel better.I know when I was on it it did.
ReplyDeleteHi Jak,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're in so much pain and find out you should have been on the HRT meds all this time. Yikes!
You'll be ok but it is hard going, I know. I'm in a similar situation so I well understand. It's frustrating as well as painful.
Try to take it as easy as you can and don't fret the small stuff. You need to rest your mind and your emotions as much as your physical body.
Take care, Jak. We love you.
hey Jak
ReplyDeleteive had 32 steroid injections in my back, over the past 10 years, sometimes they take a little while to get going, painful to have done, but worth it for the pain relief you'll get. there's nothing worse and i can sympathize having suffered for the past 10 years with back pain, no-one understands how different back pain is compared to a back ache.
good luck tracie x
ouch......... poor you! Back pain is the most debilitating pain ever! Big hugs for you xx
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Jak, very best wishes, that's all I can say except that you will remain in my prayers for however long it takes.

ReplyDeletePooh! enough medication and then an antacid for the meds - crazy. I have the same problem.
Hope the tests don't show too much damage and that you can take something to build up the bones again.
You take care.....
Hugs, Candy
Oh Jak, poor you! My back is a bit sore at the mo & it's so debilitating, no where near as bad as yours but I can empathise!!! Hope you get better soon & hope the bones are okay!!! Will the catch up HRT make you 16 again????

Hope they get you sorted out soon, It's awful having arthritis, I too take a handful of tablets a few times a day and some days get no relief from them at all. I am sure they give me placebo's sometimes.......lol It's funny how you get used to the pain being there isn't it. But lovely when the drugs do their job and take it away for a while. Keep your chin up Jak.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of healing vibes your way.
