In Memory of my dear Dad

He taught me many life skills but the greatest lesson he gave me was he taught me how to love.
Jack Cummings 4th Ocober 1927 - 29th October 2008
Love you Dad.

He taught me to have a sence of humour and he nearly burst with pride when I did crafting on TV.
Dad, brothers Alan and Russell and little me.

  11. Oh Jak such a beautiful tribute to your Dad, how the years go by so quickly...I only thought it had been 1 year since your dear Dad had passed on. Your tribute brought back many happy memories of my dear Dad who was born in the same year as yours but sadly passed away in 1985.
    God bless you Jak.

My heart goes out to you today Jak and all your family. Dad's are special people in our lives, as mine was to me, and who I still miss after 38 years. That verse is so touching. My Mums maiden name was Cummings, any relation ??? Love and hugs Jak, Ursula (X)(X)(X)

  19. Thank you Jak for opening your heart to us on your dear Dad's anniversary. The verse on his memorial card is really beautiful.

You are in my prayers daily (well, nightly to be exact)so I hope your own health problems are at least more bearable. God bless.

  26. Your Dad looks a lovely loving and fun man. Such a kind face. You are so lucky to have known him, Jak. My Dad died in 1942 when he was killed in action. I was only a year and a half and did not know him as he was sent overseas on Christmas 1940 and I was born three weeks later. I still think of him so often as I do my beloved Mum who brought me up on her own ,through blitz and evacuation but we survived and my Dads letters are lovely and he loved me and my Mum so much. I am so happy you spent your life with your Mam and Dad in such a loving faamily, Jak. I think it shows through even in your web site and blog.
I would give anything just to have spent a day with him.
    Bless you. Erine

  28. I am so sorry for your loss. It was hard for me to lose my dad too. 8( 7 years later and it's still not easy, but tolerable. You'll always love and miss him, I'm sure.
