Taking it's toll

I have got a bit of a problem going on.

Last week I was off work as we were getting new windows and doors fitted at home the problems started as soon as the cold hit me, I kept requesting the men to close doors inside the house due to the cold drafts but unfortunately it landed on deaf ears.

I was diagnosed around 6 years ago with psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia and as a result of the cold throughout the house that my feet and hands are so painful that I could chop them off. I have no grip in either of my hands so I am unable to make a card at the moment.

I'm hoping that this is just temporary and that I get some pain relief real soon.

I also managed to smash one of my favorite coffee mugs because I just couldn't hold it.

I have decided to bring forward my free downloads 1 week early because of this so keep everything crossed for me to be back to normal next week.

so starting tomorrow I will be posting some goodies for you all to try out.

  2. Jak, sorry to hear you are having problems with pain. It's awful to be like that as I only know because of CFS/ME and fibromyalgia. I hope now that the work has been completed that over the new few days things will start to get better. If you have a spare moment have a look at my blog to see I've been using something quite often and I really want to thank you for that:

It means I can use them frequently on my cards whereas bought ones I couldn't afford to very often as all my cards are made to raise funds for different charities. Thanks so much and I hope to see more I can use. Think I'd better go and print off some leaves!!

Take care and my best wishes. Kym xxxx

  34. Hi Jak

Sorry to hear about you being in such pain. I have RSI and in the cold weather my hands seize up too. Its the worst pain in the world isn't it.

Have you tried a Tens machine at all. You can get them in Boots the Chemist, they help me when my hands get bad.

    Get well soon

    Billie

  37. Fibro flare-ups aren't fun, but they do eventually resolve themselves with a bit of TLC!!!

I craft with fingerless gloves and a beanie hat or beret when my hands are playing up! It sounds daft but it does help, especially when using my PC.

Hopefully the work is done now and you can turn the heating up, get warm and feel better. Take care...

  38. Jak I know how you feel as I too have psoriatic arthritis and it ain't easy. Take care and sending gentle hugs.
