A Stamping Up church stamp from the set Silent Night and a Papertrey Ink flourish from their Silent Night stamp set teamed together to make this card.
I know I can see you squirming at the thought of me making a Christmas card in March but I have a theory with this card, lets forget the stamp names and say it is a Wedding card Stamped onto Black card stock and dipped in gold and tied together in a sheer gold ribbon.
Could I get away with it?

I also was wondering about using this image at other times of the year - it is such a lovely stamp! I'm pleased you tried it - I think it's perfect! x
ReplyDeleteVery crafty Jak!!! Think you would manage to get away with almost anything you tried.
ReplyDeleteI would lean towards wedding Jak, beautiful card
ReplyDeleteOh yes Jak, you can get away with it, it's stunning.

Yes I would definetly say you can get away with it for a wedding card. It's lovely by the way.
ReplyDeleteI think I may be a bit controversial here having looked at the other replies but ....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Jak - as always - and I just love black and gold however, not sure I'd use black for a wedding card unless it was the colour scheme of the wedding. It would look stunning on white though, as a wedding card. To me this one would make an absolutely beautiful condolence card but that's just me - lol!!
Whatever it's used for, it's stunning and I'm sure whoever receives it, for whatever occasion, will be thrilled to get it.
I would definately use it as a winter wedding card, would be beautiful for that. Especially on white card, but think that the trees look wintery and maybe a bit christmasy for a spring or summer wedding.
ReplyDeleteDefinately a beautiful christmas card Jak.

ReplyDeleteMyrax
jak- Just put 20 pounds in little gift envelope strategically placed inside, stamp Happy Wedded Bliss in there- and voila! it's a wedding card! It's all about the power of sugestion, lol!! I agree the card would also be beautiful with gold on white.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Jak. It would make a lovely Wedding card too. Fantastic. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card and to be honest "wedding" was my first thought. The C word is simply not in my vocabulary just now - after all, there would be something wrong if Iwasn't panicing come mid November!!!!
ReplyDeleteIts a gorgeous card and would be perfect for a wedding card x
ReplyDeleteIt makes a beautiful winter wedding card. Wonder what it would look like done silver on navy??? Unfortunately I don't have this stamp so can't try it out. Love the flourishes as well.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful, and it could be a wedding card depending on the couple and if it is in a church also an older couple might not like black.
ReplyDeleteI think you could use it for Easter too.
This is beautiful! Great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and definitely one which could be used for a wedding - in fact that would be truly stunning x x
ReplyDeleteI think it would make a really striking wedding card. Unusual colours but that is what it would make it stand out from all the rest.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
Linda
Very definitely could be a wedding card...beautiful as always.

Maybe, but it still looks very Christmassy, sorry about that. Its still gorgeous and it would certainly make a change from the normal Christmas colours. love Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING card Jak. I love this satmp.
ReplyDeleteLove Karen x
I think it's lovely as always Jak, but a winter wedding maybe, but to me it says Christmas. I like Peejay's idea though of doing it gold on white for a wedding that would look stunning. I can't get my head around black for a wedding card, sorry hun!
ReplyDeleteSue
WOW, so elegant

I think you are right on the button, it would do for either. Differing treatments must give you so many looks, its a lovely stamp

ReplyDeleteI think it is an excellent wedding card.
ReplyDeletex
Wow, this is so beautiful Jak.
ReplyDelete"Could I get away with it?". I would have said "definitely" but wondered if the tree to the front of the church looks as though it's covered in snow? If not, then "Definitely!". Super card.

Wow - this is beautiful Jak. Love the black and gold.
ReplyDeleteThe new VersaMarks look like a 'must have'!!!
Thank you so much for the samples you gave to Mum for me - she's bringing them when she visits next week - can't wait.

on cream it would make a lovely wedding card but black is fine for christmas
ReplyDeleteI think the layout and stamping are perfect for a wedding! But I would be careful about the base colour. Some people think black at a wedding is bad luck. Many modern brides use black for their b-maid dresses so it would depend on the couple. Nearly any other colour would be great. What about navy, eggplant, sage green? or maybe match it to the brides colours. She'd really appreciate that!
ReplyDeleteYes this could be a wedding card and Black is still very fashionable with Weddings you wouldn't believe how many people ask for Black Wedding Stationery
ReplyDeleteJoolse
Jak this is so beautiful. Yes if it is a black & white wedding. The bride would be so pleased with it. But for me i would use it anyway.Thank you for the leaves.
ReplyDeleteTake Care.
It's a beautiful card, Jak. I've been toying with the idea of buying this stamp and keep putting it off. Having seen your card I'll think again.
