Fight Over

Dad finally gave up his fight and slipped away peacefully at 9.50pm last night.
All his family spent the day with Dad talking to him and he knew we were there.
I have to be strong now for Mam & I'm holding up OK, just have that awful numb feeling.

    Jak I am so sorry that your dad's brave fight ended so sadly, but at least you were with him during this time and that must have been a comfort to him.

    Very Sorry for your loss, I lost my own brother on the 4th of this month, after a long illness, At first I cried all week, Now less than a month on I still miss him so much, But I find myself smileing at the memories and goodtimes we had shared, the pain does lesson and the smiles return.

    Jak, so sorry to hear that your dad has passed away. Will be keeping you all in my thoughts in the coming days.

    I can only re-iterate what some have already said, although it is admirable to keep strong for your mum, you have to have time to grieve as well. You have to take it one day at a time.
