Tear Bear

My first Tear Bear, actually I don't like it but I wanted to give making one a try, he is far too dark as this was the only thick Mulberry paper I could find that would be suitable to make one with.
It was made by drawing round shapes with a wet paintbrush onto the paper then teasing the circle away from the rest of the paper which left the hairy looking edge.
The sentiment is by Stampin Up

More from my Holidays

Another spectacular sunset view.
I think I may need to make a few sheets for you all with some of the scenery pictures.

This is Pam showing how not to use embossing powder.

Dirty girl....

We had a little visitor,, isn't he just gorgeous.

Jean managed to get the little beauty back to the outdoors where it belonged.
I managed to get a shot with wings opened, quite spectacular.

We had a little panic as a friend took ill, the medical service was fabulous and we had soon turned the frightening situation round to having Debs at least giving a few smiles.

What a team...

Upper Refectory Cottages - Appelby Magna

Well, both Mam and I arrived at the cottage safely, the cottages are so quaint, in total there are 17 of us here, like minded crafting friends, is there a better way to spend a long weekend?
After dinner both Mam and I took a stroll to get some fresh air and take in some of the views, this is one of the fabulous views we have, I think there is something quite regal about a lonely tree against the sunset.

I found this old boy sitting by the fence looking a little worse for wear, poor old soul looks shattered, I expect he did the same walk that we had just done.

Up on the roof.....

I nearly broke into a song there! This is one of the views from the bedroom window, both Mam and myself were quite taken by the ornate corners on the roof top.

Grand Soirée - Stampin Up

The stamp set used for this card is called Grand Soirée and is made by Stampin Up I had a thing for Chandeliers a few weeks back and made a free sheet full of chandeliers for you all to use and then I found this stamp set.
It make a very striking card and by now I'm sure you all know that I love Monotone shades.
If you fancy giving the chandelier card a whirl you can still download mine here, if you make a card leave me a comment with a link to your card I'd love to see them.
Go on, I challenge you.

Flourish Frame Card

I used the Stampin Up Flourish Jumbo wheel down the edge of the base card and heat embossed with blonde moments powder and then with a blue ink I used the same flourish wheel over the cut out nestabilities labels shape , a stamped sentiment a few white rub ons and a sheer ribbon finished the card

A Rose is a Rose - Stampin Up

The stamps A Rose is a Rose is a stamp set by Stampin Up it is a two stamp technique you stamp the lighter shade ink for the block base then the darker shade ink on the detail stamp and stamp directly on top of the first image, it gives a wonderful effect.
Once stamped I cut out the images and mounted them onto the card using dimensional foam pads.
The base card was made by adding some polka dot paper and ribbon by PTI and stamping the sentiment in the lighter shade pink ink used on the rose.
