Making Flowers with Dennison

This book belonged to a sewing Teacher for special needs Eveline Johnson who was a friend of my Mams sadly she passed away at the age of 99 years old in 2007 but before she died she gave this book to my Mam and in turn my Mam gave it to me knowing that it would interest me.
Having scoured through the book I decided to try to make the Oriental Poppy which I knew would be fun as I don't have any crepe paper and that is what the book is all about.

So anyway here is the result to my read, as you can see it worked out pretty good, I used red & black paper the only crepe paper I used was the gold center.I have to say it was very easy to make.

If you would like me to do a tutorial on this let me know in a comment & I'll set to work getting it done.

I love these Stampscape stamps. I hadn't thought of them for ATC's but then I haven't made any of them yet either. I love the colouring in the background. I'm always envious of the cards Ann W. makes - so now she's got competition.Beryl xx

Beautiful Jak. The colourways put me in mind of Thomas Kinkade - the vibrancy and clarity is stunning.

Dawn Chorus (the Birds- Alfred Hitchcock)

I do try to keep the birds fed but my word they were a little scary this morning, also feed the birds tuppence a bag has to be a joke as it costs a fortune.
Anyway I added a new fat ball as they had devoured the last one I put up and boy were they waiting for it, the cheeky devils were all around me squawking and shouting at me to get out of the way.
Then mayhem as they all tried to get to it first, fighting and dive bombing each other. Take a look at the second picture, I think he means business.

Christmas Card - Penny Black & Stampscapes

Yet another Penny Black deer stamp i first stamped this in brilliance white then stamped again slightly off set with a black ink, Stamped the trees by stampscape and highlighted them with a sakura pen to give the snow effect then stamped the sentiment in a gold galaxy ink.
I layered all the images on a Gold card.

This is the inside, as you can see I've stamped another Stampscape scene on the inside top left corner and layered up a verse in the same way as the stamped images.

Look What I Got (he he he)

I received this beautiful card and a present from Greta, The card is good enough to eat, it is in chocolate and toffee colours and is totaly scrumptious.

Greta received some of these from her son as a joke and I asked her to find out where to get them & today I received som in the post from Greta, wasn't that a lovely thing to do?

I'm not sure if they will see the day out.

Sympathy Card

This is one of those very hard to make card which I made for a friend but then couldn't send it, why I do this I'll never know, it is just something that I find difficult to deal with, especially when I know the person well, they know that I do this and fully understand and sometimes a hug works better than a card.

Floral Punch Craft - Blue Poppies

This lovely little bird was made in PSP (paint shop pro) by digital designs unlimited the little bird comes in a tube form I altered the colour to suit my inks and printed the bird twice and decoupaged the head wing and leaves to add dimension to the image.

I made 2 poppies with floral punch craft in colours that matched the bird and stamped the base card with Autmn Leaves flourish and an Inkadinkadoo stamp.
