Dancing in the Rain

I had a little play with the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists tonight and have the very inky fingers to prove it, I keep promising myself to wear gloves but it never happens.

I used tissue paper to absorb the mists layering it up from lightest in the centre and spraying the darker colours to the outer edges it was all a bit trial and error but however I use them the results are always a spectacular mingle of twinkling colours.

I wasn't patient enough to wait for it to dry so out came the faithful heat gun to dry it ready to use.

The stamp is Large Willow Lady by ClarityStamps whick I inked with Black Archival Ink I love this ink as it always gives an even coating and doesn't run when using wet colours along side it.

After the image had dried I started over again with the glimmer mists only this time I blotted it with kitchen roll to get it to dry.

I then traced and filled in the image with a black Sakura gel pen as some of the colour was misting the image (note to myself mist first stamp later)

Opps nearly forgot, the words were typed using microsoft word onto the card befor any image or colour was added.

Friendship Card

I bought these pretty round Bauble Stamps from Graphicus they have seperate hanger cap which can be added to the top of the bauble to make Christmas tree baubles but I thought they were to pretty that they just cried out to be coloured with my Prisma Pencils.

The only tricky part was cutting out the round baubles once I had added the colour but I find that the larger the scissers I use the neater the cut.

The black border stamp is by DMD and was a delight to use it stamped so cleanly and it joined perfectly which is another good reason to use clear stamps being able to align them and see exactly where you are placing them on your card.

Christmas in the Pink

Oh dear.... Christmas cards in April I can see all the raised eyebrows from here (ha ha ha)

well what can I say, I bought the snowflake stamps in a little set designed by Impression Obsession in preperation for the winter months. Unfortunatley I have to use bought craft items as soon as I get them.

Lets face it the stamps are gorgeous and it would be such a shame to lock them away in a cupboard untill the winter months so I thought I would lets you all suffer my addiction too lol!

The finished card, layered in with black card stock a few more coloured pearld and a little stickles glitter, The border stamp is made by DMD a sister company of Autumn Leaves but it only costs 2/3rds of the price

Just a Blossom

A clean looking Blossom card a little oriental without the usual

red, black or gold.

Stamped with a Stampscape branch stamp in a light brown ink then punched out the little flower heads and turned up the petals from the centre, punched out mini leaves in green to add behind the flowers.

I added little glass bead wedding confetti to the centre of the blossoms to add a little glamour

A Refreshing Weekend

We headed off on our travels on Friday lunch time to Kendal our usual hideaway in the Lake district, we weren't even fased by the report of severe weather that we heard on the radio. Well what we figured was that even if we can get there lets not worry about being stuck there and having to spend a few more days.

The weekend was just amazing, relaxing and tranquil and just what I was needing to recharge my batteries.


We stayed at our usual B&B and
Chris & janice are just the perfect
hosts and it is like a home from home
stay I managed to get a snap shot

On Saturday morning we had a full English breakfast then headed up to Croppers Papermill, I need to do this a couple of times a year to allow me to stock up on my basic card supply and this time was no different to others as I came away with the car fit to burst and several sighs from my ever patient husband, to be honest he's a sweetheart as he takes me to the Lakes for the sole pupose of me restocking my card.

After the Mill we headed to Windermere for a little browse around then back to Kendal to finish our day.

Then back to our B&B where Chris caught up on some of his work and I fell asleep for a whole 2 hours as I was exhausted, I awoke pain free again and ready for more action out on the town.

Our evening meal was at the Mumbai a wonderful Indian Restaurant where we ate till we were stuffed and couldn't face another thing.
We strolled back to the local public house (The Sawyers) a few drinks later and we were ready for our beds.


The Journey Home

I was determined to take some scenery shots on the way home just so that I could show you the beautiful scenery, I think you will agree it is rather breath taking.
