Family Tree

Do you do this, trace your Family Tree? I used to but as my Fathers home was bombed during the war many of the history was lost, they did however have one or two pictures which were salvaged and I had to digitally restore them. I have one of my Dads Father which took an age to repair but I was quite pleased with the outcome, I’ll make a scrapbook page soon with that one.

The one below was took a good few years after the was but I love it none the less. The Ganny was a betting lady, loved a flutter on the horses and my dad had the job of placing the bets for her.

My Grandma, Auntie Alice the Ganny (Dads Grand Mother) and Auntie Alice’s Twin Boys Alan and Warren,

what a shame you lost a lot of photos. By the clothes they have on I would put that pic at around 1958.
I love doing my family history. Got one line back to 1483. Most of what I have done has been online too.

Same here Shirley. I have researched both mine and my husband's family, and since on my side one chunk is in the East End of London and the other chunk is in and around Sunderland it has been an invaluable tool. Thinking about it strangely enough, that is what got me into crafting as I began (and have not yet finished!!) scrapbooking the information I found. Jak, it is really important that you scrap your memories as well as the pictures, as they are just images without the lovely stories you tell. Gosh, hope that doesn't come across as bossy!? It's not meant to.
Wishing you luck in your journey into the past... hugs, Buttons x

Jak what a beautiful memory page.
Sorry you lost your past photo's.
My hubby traces his tree and helped me with mine recently, I had no photo's, but from linking up with others who are distant relatives but come from the same line ( we did this via- ancestry and other sites) I now have photo's of my great , great , greats. Its worth a try.

Well done on the page , by the way the software is fabulous to use well done

One of my aunties has done the family tree and it's very interesting. It's really amazing how far back she was able to go.

I don't do scrapbooking Jak but love seeing yours. Really like how you have only put one picture on this one. Sorry you don't have too many pictures from this era.
