Wow what great blog candy. I have always been into making things right from childhood but I got into "serious card making" about 6 years ago when i went into Hobbycraft after finishing work one day. A glass painting set caught my eye. I got it home and completed all the projects and really loved the idea of creating my own cards and I haven't stopped since! I usually take my inspiration from one think like a colour or pattern and work from there. The card I create is not usually what I had in my mind for the finished project its just a case of playing until i am happy with the design.

I have been cardmaking for about 15 years plus....it all started when was working with children running a youth club and for craft sessions it was great to see them produce a lovely handmade card to take home to someone special, the choice now is huge compared to then and its just gets better and better....have left a link on my blog for you....Happy birthday chick, hope you have a good one....hugs Jackie xx

I started with scrapbooking and saw cardmaking in the magazines i bought and watching create and craft. I used my scrapbooking stash to make my first card, i was totally skint and it was my daughters birthday and i wanted to give her as much money as possible, so i made her card using scrapbook shopping and girly embellishments. Her card was a huge hit with everyone and i've never looked back, and make at least 4-5 cards a week now. I'm totally hooked with all the different techniques.

Thanks for offering such a wonderful prize Jak. I started crafting when my children were small. We used to make all our own cards for family and friends. I stopped for a few years while they were growing up and I was working but when I retired I started again in earnest. Now I am truly hooked.

I've always like making things but cardmaking for me really took off when I retired in 2001. I was watching QVC and Dawn Bibby happened to be on and I thought "I can do that". I loved the fact that, unlike other crafts, you could get instant results or if you wanted to spend a bit longer on a project then you could. It then seemed a natural progression to start scrapping too because then I had an excuse to buy more stash ("It's dual purpose Dear"). I often wonder what I would have done if I hadn't taken up this wonderful hobby - I know I would have been richer in a monetary way but poorer in so many other ways. Love your blog, love your creations, have a great birthday :)

Wow what a candy! I'm lost for words...

When it comes to paper crafting, I managed with only two colours of Bazzill paper, a paper cutter and some stickers for a long time, but it was my friend Krissie who got the ball rolling full speed. Now I'm addicted. I love making cards because there's always the personality of someone else (the recipient) to draw inspiration from!

I started scrapbooking because I wanted to do something special with my pictures from Uganda. When a new LSS opened, I discovered scrapbooking and I immediately knew I'd love it.
I get my inspiration by reading blogs to watch other crafter's work and I also love challenges to try new techniques. Here's my link . Thanks for a chance to win such amazing candy! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

hey there, wow what gorgeous blog candy you have on offer! Id love a chance to win!

What got me into crafting was bipolar - i was hospatilised and a lady in there with me did crafting to stop herself harming herself, i gave it a go and its probably one of the reasons im still here today - it just relaxed me and took me away from myself!

I get insiration from many things - colours, furniture, shapes - i could just glance at something and then think oh my i have to use that! lol

Ill put your link in my blog candy bar

thanks Jak

love tasha xx

Hi Jak, I haven't been crafting very long, just a matter of months but it has already taken over my life! I have tried many things, watercolour painting, ceramics, acrylic painting and the good thing about card making is that it brings together all these skills and more. I live, eat and breathe cards and begrudge going to work when I would rather be at home at my craft space. Luckily my colleague is also into cards so we spend many a long hour chatting about cards when we should be working, ssshhhush don't tell the boss!

What an aamzing prize! Thanks for the chance to win.

I have crafted in one way or another all my life as I had a crafty Mum, Grandma and 3 sisters. The thing that inspires me about a card is usually the person themselves. I try and tailor all of them to the recipient.

I only just recently started cardmaking. I had been hoarding all sorts of paper and things not really knowing what to do with it (but I loved it!) and eventually began cardmaking when I read about how simple it could be. Then I was hooked.

Thanks for the chance to win some new things to make cards with!

What a great blog candy! Thanks for the chance to win. :)

I got into card making when I was reading my cousin's wife's blog and saw that she had made some cards herself (with stamped Magnolia images) and through her blog I found other crafting blogs and so on... After 3 days of browsing blogs I was hooked and wanted to know MORE! :D

Greetings from Sweden!

I've always loved to take pictures, keep a journal, collect memorabilias etc. So I was pretty happy when I discovered the fabulous hobby of scrapbooking a couple of years ago - I finally had a name for the stuff that I loved to do!

I get inspired from practically anything! One day it might be the weather, one day it might be my children, one day it might be an ad in the paper. The list can go on and on!

I wanted to try scrapbooking and card making since I've seen the great Albums my aunt did for her photos, but really started after I've seen some internet sites and blogs. These are also my main inspiration "sources", but many times I'm also inspired by everything around me...

I don't really have a blog, sorry...

Thanks for the great generous blog candy!!!

Happy Birthday Jak

Wow fab candy.

I have always done some form of craft and as a little girl I used to love to use those lick and stick stars and shapes. I started stamping as something to do when I finished my degree.

Wonderful give-a-way!! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I think I've always been crafty, but I first started scrapbooking about nine years ago when I wanted to document my college years. Blogs like yours inspire my card-making!!
